from Richard Lewis in New York
As the women's race in the 40th ING New York Marathon heads towards 35km, what a finish is in store.
Can Paula Radcliffe make it four times a winner here? Impossible to tell today because Christelle Daunay, of France, has led for stages.
At one point in the past three miles Radcliffe was not even in the first three, but she has bounced back to lead a group of four with Ludmila Petrova, of Russia, who was second behind the Briton last year, and Derartu Tulu, of Ethiopia, making up the quartet.
Radcliffe will need all her strength to hold on because Daunay is looking good.
Standy for a thriller of a race as the runners head towards Central Park.
